She was beaten so bad, she had no energy by the end. Trish was destroyed, lets put it that way. Now, hear me out, personally I realize that the final move of the match was botched, however, it does make sense in the context of the match. Mickie James ends Trish Stratus' year long title reign in destructive fashion! The 5 time champ has been demoted to the point of jobbing for the Boogeyman? 4/10 on fire! 9/10īoogeyman wins his Wrestlemania debut, but who really cares? Remembering the innovative spear on Matt Hardy late last year, add a table on the way down. I realize that statement is very safe, of course that's just how I roll. Edge did Canada proud taking out the Hardcore Legend with one of the coolest mid card finish in Wrestlemania history. This is probably the favourite when it comes to stealing the show. As Craig would say "You rule Benoit but you suck!" 6/10Įdge upsets the Legend, Mick Foley in his own game in the night's highlight! Neat little entrance for JBL, but distastful way for Benoit to lose his second Wrestlemania in a row since winning the title in 2004. I didn't have too much anticipation for this one to begin with. JBL and Chris Benoit put on one of the dissapointing matches of the night unfortunately. looking forward to Benjamin winning Money in the Bank III next year! 8.5/10 However, nothing compared to Matt Hardy's nasty fall off the ladder at the end of the match where the apron nearly took his head off. Awesome spots like Benjamin's front flip off the ladder held on the top rope, RVD's (dead weight) Five Star off the top of the ladder, and Ric Flair's two brutal shots. This years winner, RVD was much more surprising. When compared to last year's inaugural Money in the Bank Ladder Match, this match definately ranks just above. So much for Geoff's second match on the card mythology. This match set the tone for the rest of the night for sure. Some of the action was so fast, I can barely remember the order everything happened. This years Money in the Bank was quick and brutal. Big Show and Kane retain the tag-team titles, after Kane hits the chokeslam - will Big Show ever get a Wrestlemania win of his own? 7/10 One part in particular when Masters stuffed Carlito by accident at the end, caught me off guard. It was fun to watch and kept your attention. World Tag-Team Champions Big Show and Kane retain against Carlito and Chris Masters. Other factors such as excitement, skill, and my own personal tilt are added after. this match is rated 6 compared to other Intercontinental Division matchups. My rating system works like this: each match will be given a rating out of ten, however, unlike the bogus fan ratings, these matches will be rated within the category of each e.g. With that, Square 1 posts it's first ever WWE Pay Per View review, of hopefully many more to come. This is probably the best Wrestlemania since Wrestlemania XIX or maybe even Wrestlemania X-Seven in my oppinion. April 2nd, 2006's Wrestlemania 22 did not dissapoint.
